Andy Bs Midweek 3 way.
When the season begins I will be producing each week a 3 accumulator for the coming week’s games.
With this being the final week of preseason action we turn our attention to the futures market and look at some regular season win matchups. These team vs team breakdowns are quoted from bet365.com and due to the nature of the bets are stand alone predictions and not put in an accumulator.
Cardinals 6/4 v Steelers 11/10
Two teams with heavyweight ambitions this season, the Cardinals with Chandler Kones and the Honey Badger causing havoc on defense backed up with one of the league’s most promising backs David Johnson look set for a breakout year. Once Le’Veon Bell returns to the field the Steelers offense is scary, scary enough to encourage a defense which has yet to show its full potential.
I see both teams in the 12-4 11/3 range and go for a tied record at 5/1
Broncos 11/10 vs Colts 13/10
Denver find themselves having lost 2 defensive starters Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan, starting a QB with no NFL passing attempts, restarting their offensive line and in a vastly improved division. This season will be a long one for the defending champs.
The Colts are in a rebuild with a new playbook on Offense and not much of a Defense. Andrew luck is going to have to put this team on his back and lead them to the promised land of the Postseaon this year. That said, the AFC south is not as strong as the West with the Texans losing JJ Watt for the early season and a new QB RB pairing and the Jags emerging but not quite arriving yet.
I believe the Broncos will have a losing season this year with the Colts scraping 8-8. Take the Colts at 13/10
49ers even vs Browns 27/20
The battle of who isn’t the worst team in Football. Not much can be said in a positive light regarding this matchup.
Chip Kelly has inherited a very talent light organisation and has a huge task ahead of him. In Cleveland, Joe Haden is the real deal, aside from that a fragile QB in RGIII and Josh Gordon who is liable to smoke a joint on a daily basis. This matchup is really a depressing one to think about.
I see both teams really struggling in the 2/14 1/15 region of the league. Both as bad as each other take 5/1 on the tie.
Recommended – 5 pts each
- Cardinals v Steelers tie – 5/1
- Broncos v Colts – Colts – 13/10
- 49ers v Browns – Tie – 5/1
