Wildcard weekend! – Saturday matches

So it’s that time of the year again, wildcard weekend, and once again the Bengals look likely to lose in the first round 😦

But first up is Chiefs at Texans – 2135 kick off on Saturday night

The Chiefs have won 10 in a row, go up against the Texans, who won a poor division to reach the post season, I’m pretty sure the Chiefs will continue they’re amazing run and win this match. Their Defence is one of the best in the league, and they just have more options on offence than the Texans

Jeremy Maclin has hit a bit of form, running backs Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware have been performing well, and if they’re slowed down then QB Alex Smith will run the ball, he finished last week as the top rusher.

Realistically all the Texans have on offence is DeAndre Hopkins, their RBs aren’t great, their QB isn’t great. They’re a fairly boring team to watch in all honesty.

Chiefs – 3 @ 20/23 – (1pt) seems generous enough to me. WON 30-0

Alex Smith – o30.5 rush yards @ 4/5 – (1pt) – 4 yards short, had a 60 yard run ruled out for holding

Char West – o41.5 rush yards @ 5/6 – (2pt (PaddyPower)) Hardly featured for some reason

Justin Houston – o4.5 tackles @ 10/11 (1pt) Lost, made 3 tackles

Steelers @ Bengals – 115am

The Bengals have landed up against one of the leagues on fire offences, in the Steelers who they badly struggled against at home a month or so ago, unable to stop the run, or the pass, although admittedly they did limit them to shorter passes. Big Ben stepped off the gas once they went a couple of scores up and Dalton getting injured meant they didn’t really have to force it, this left the final score closer than it should of been.

The news that DeAngelo Williams seems to be out of the picture is a big boost for the Bengals, as the guy has been brilliant all season, and means they’re now down to their third choice RB. Fitzgerald Toussaint seems to be the replacement, but at 11/10 or 5/4 i’ll stay away from him. With Williams out and the Bengals shutting down the long passing game last time out. I think Miller should have a big game for the Steelers.

The Bengals on the other hand are looking pretty good health wise, and Tyler Eifert is back and scoring, after being taken out in the earlier Steelers game by a dirty hit to the head and missing 4 weeks with concussion.

Eifert anytime TD @ 5/4 – 1pt, 2 or more TD @ 14/1 – 0.5 pt BOTH LOST

Heath miller o35.5 yards @ 10/11 (1pt on Skybet) – Lost

Antonio brown under 112.5 yards @ 5/6 (1 pt Paddypower). LOST on his final catch

I’ll be posting tips for tomorrows matches on Sunday morning, but want to get a little treble on the go.

Chiefs -3, Seahawks -5 and Redskins -1

Just over 6/1 – 2.5pts
