Ok, so first tips on my own, big day for me, and i’ve picked a pretty shitty time to start doing it, the final week of the season, a few things still to play for, so i’ll be trying to stick to those games, there’s a few teams who have actively said, or suggested they’ll be resting players, so obviously trying to stay away from them! (ALL PRICES BET365 UNLESS STATED)
Early TV match is Jets @ Bills, the Bills are cooked, but the Jets need a win to keep alive any hope of reaching the post season, and they’ve been really good recently with old man Kirkpatrick supplying Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker with weekly touchdowns and BIlal Powell chipping in from the backfield. The good thing is that Ivory is still according to the bookies the favourite to score TDs for them, meaning the odds on these guys are slightly higher and better value, which is good for me. The one guy I like from the Bills is Gillislee, who has scored two weeks running since Shady McCoy went down and will hopefully carry that on for me!
Anytime TD scorers – Marshall – Evens (2pts – WIN) Decker – 21/20 (1pt – WIN) Powell – 8/5 (1pt – VOID) Gillislee – 11/8 (1pt – LOSE)
I’ve done myself a little anytime Lucky15 for the early matches (0.5pt 7.5 total) –
Mike Gillislee (BUF Bills) @ 7/5 (Lose
Zach Miller (CHI Bears) @ 13/10 (VOID)
Ben Watson (NO Saints) @ 13/10 (win)
Jordan Matthews (PHI Eagles) @ 21/20 (win)
also, a 2 or more TD trixie (0.5pt – 2pt total)
DeAndre Hopkins (HOU Texans) @ 5/1
DeAngelo Williams (PIT Steelers) @ 7/2 (injured early on)
Brandon Marshall (NY Jets) @ 17/2 (All lost)
Now, I really like the both players to score market on Skybet, won a nice amount a few weeks back, as I’ve said it’s a tough week to call it, but i’ll chuck a patent on as the odds are usually rather tasty
Golden Tate and Zach Miller (VOID half) (Lions v Bears) – 11/2 Cooks and Freeman (Saints v Falcons) – 2/1 Powell (VOID half) and Gilislee – 9/2 (0.5pt patent – 3.5pt total) (part refund due to voids)
Second match up on Sky is the Oakland Raiders @ the Chiefs, the Chiefs have been remarkable in the second half of the season, ironically after losing their main RB Jamaal Charles, they’ve now won 10 in a row and probably won’t stop there, however in gambling terms i’m struggling to pick anything i’m confident in tonight. The Raiders love to sling the ball, and the Chiefs D are probably the best in the league currently so i’m going to have a tentative dabble on a Defensive TD being scored at 13/8 (1pt – WIN although not the team I was expecting)
Late night match on Sky is Vikings @ Packers – Both teams can win the division with a win, although both are in the playoffs, The Vikings are a tough defence, and should have a few of their key men back, the Packers are a yoyo team, who are really tough to predict, but the weather is predicted to be cold and possibly snowy, so expect the ball to largely stay on the ground. Lacy is a pain in the arse, he can either score 2 TDs or run for 3 yards, but i’ll risk him tonight.
Peterson anytime – 8/15 (1pt – WIN) , Lacy anytime – 4/5 (1pt – LOSE)
So that’s the beginning of hopefully a long and fruitful tipping career, I will emphasise that tonight is a tough week so suggest lower stakes than you usually would! Good luck
Total outlay – 21 points
Returned about 22 points with the part refunds on the both players to score patent
YTD – ~ 1 point profit
