Week 3 – Atlanta @ New Orleans – 26th sept – @FootbawlTips

Well, yesterday started well with Shepard getting his td nice and early and Crowder getting his receptions in the same game, David Johnson also got his 2 tds for that treble, however went downhill after that with some shock results hitting me badly. Somehow the Bills comprehensively beat the visiting Cardinals, the Steelers got stuffed by the Eagles, Carson Wentz looking comfortable throughout for the Eagles. Great for me as a Bengals fan, bad for my Williams anytime and 2 or more related bet. The late match saw the Cowboys  predictably walk past the Bears, who could be challenging for that no.1 draft pick next year, with Zeke going for 160 yards. frustratingly no TD though.

Onto Monday night. Everything says this should be a high scoring game. Matt Ryan was leading the league in yardage through 2 weeks, Julio is getting his targets, Sanu has done ok for them, and Jacob Tamme has looked good enough at tight end to get red zone targets, although Austin Hooper has had a few there too, annoyingly for people who drafted Devonta Freeman in fantasy leagues they seem to insist on a committee between him and Tevin Coleman, and Coleman seems to be getting the work in the passing game. I think Freeman will score this week, its overdue, and they’re playing the saints.

The saints are awful at defending, meaning that Dree Brees is usually one of the highest passing qbs in the league as they have to score to stay in games, their defence has been further hampered by losing a few key players in the last few weeks, their best pass rusher is out with concussion, so in theory there should be more points for both teams. Brees had his career best d pass in week 1, 97 yards to Brandin Cooks who torched a couple of Raiders up the sideline, Willie Snead and Michael Thomas providing options there too. Coby Fleener was brought in at tight end and expected to do well, however pre season reports that he wasnt clicking with Brees seem to be correct as he’s been poor so far this season. Mark Ingram has been running well enough and obviously gets worked into the passing game, so always an option. And Tim Hightower has seen a few chances as a battering ram.

Cooks anytime – 10/11 – 4pts (Coral) Jacob Tamme anytime – 15/8 (paddy) Tamme and Freeman – 9/2 (skybet)

Points should beat 53.5, but its been a weird weekend for results and that’s really high, so can’t tip it. Good luck to all betting tonight, also not on the official tips, but either team to score in all quarters, one of them should come in, 12/5 and 7/4, Falcons 02.5 TDs, Fleener u38.5 yards, Tamme o4.5 recs. They’re my personal bets, the way it’s been I wouldn’t be surpised if none come in
