Had an all right day yesterday on my tips, finished around even thanks to a couple of decent odds anytime TD scorers, hopefully a few people managed to get them in doubles, 11/4 and 10/3 returns a nice little earner. The NAP landed again, 10/11 for Murray was a steal, thank you Paddy. The treble was let down by the Eagles unfortunately (they were really poor, only TDs scored by their D/ST), finished with a Lose, Push and Win on it.
Tonight’s match should be a nice win for the Cardinals, but there’s been a lot of ‘shoulds’ so far this season and the Cardinals have served up a couple of them, but Carson Palmer returns tonight after a week off with concussion, and he had started linking nicely with John Brown, who himself had a head injury to overcome towards the end of the pre-season and start of the season. Larry Fitzgerald is hot right now, and when he’s hot. He stays hot, he and David Johnson have provided pretty much all of the Cards offence so far, and I can’t see that stopping tonight, despite the Jets are strongest up front. The Jets have suffered injuries in the secondary, so the receivers and Palmer should have a decent night. And well, Johnson is up there with Zeke and Bell as a top 3 RB in the league.
The Jets have been poor, really poor, they only gave Fitzpatrick and 1 year deal, and that’s made them look like geniuses, he’s been woeful, throwing 9 INTs in 2 weeks, and tonight he faces the leading turnover team in the league. It’s not promising for him. He’s without Eric Decker for the season, he’s on IR, and probably loving it spending time with his stunning wife. Brandon Marshall seems likely to be the main target for Fitz and he’ll pepper him all night, INTs or not. Quincy Enunwa has been the second choice for him with the Decker injury, he’s a giant tight end/wide receiver hybrid, and has done his job well. They recently signed Austin Seferian-Jenkins (ASJ) after his DUI led to his release from Tampa, and he could see some action tonight, he’s undoubtedly talented, so the Jets have risked it, however it seems likely he’ll be used mainly as a blocker for them to try and release Matt Forte and Bilal Powell from the backfield, the two have been pretty equally sharing carries in recent weeks, after Forte started as an on-fire back, his age seems to have slowed him down and Powell is a valid alternative to him, he’s actually played a fair bit better over the past few weeks.
- Bilal Powell anytime – 3/1 (Ladbrokes, Hills)
- Powell and Johnson – 11/2 (Skybet)
- Johnson and Fitzgerald – 2/1 (Skybet)
- Arizona -2.5, Johnson o65.5 rush yards and a TD, Palmer o200.5 passing yards and o1.5 passing TDs – 4/1 (Skybet)
Last one admittedly sounds convoluted, but essentially they’re all linked. As said Johnson is one of the best in the league, he should easily beat that mark.
One that I looked at on the off chance, and seeing the odds is total turnovers… 6 or more is 9/2 at Hills, not an official tip, but wouldn’t be surprised to see it landing, neither QB has exactly been doing well this year.
Good luck tonight, should be an entertaining game to watch, the Cards in general are, hopefully Palmer hits some form
