Saturday morning brings us the influx of injury updates from teams, beat writes and journalists alike.
Here are some of the notable injury updates and the ‘next man up’ where applicable
Buffalo
LeSean McCoy – Questionable – game time decision but not likely to play if there is a chance the injury could be made worse. Next Man Up – Mike Gillislee
Marcel Dareus – Doubtful – the Buffalo monster in the middle is not likely to play. Leaves RB Ajayi in a better position to product against an otherwise strong D.
Cleveland
Terrelle Pryor – Questionable – Hamstring injury might limit his explosiveness
Joe Hadon – Doubtful – not likely to play, AJ Green is smiling.
Chiefs
Jamaal Charles – Questionable – word is Charles had a bit of a set back with his knee. Next Man Up – Spencer Ware keeps the bulk of the work load
Baltimore
Joe Flacco – Questionable – this is merely a formality. If he can walk, he plays.
Miami
Arian Foster – Questionable – the NFL’s Jamie Redknapp should play but probably behind Ajayi.
Minnesota
Stefon Diggs – Questionable – should play, if not watch out for Adam Thielen
Indianapolis
TY Hilton – Questionable – will play after practicing in full Friday.
Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorset – OUT – Chester Rodgers and….. yeah. Not sure.
Oakland
Latavius Murray – Questionable and Limited in practice. Committee of players follows him if he has a set back
Jacksonville
Allen Hurns – Questionable – limited practice but all signs show he will play. Should have a big week against the Oakland ‘secondary’.
New York Giants
Odell Beckham Jnr – Questionable – he will play. Why make the trip to London if he wasn’t?
Rashard Jennings – Will Play – probably won’t be too much of factor but it least it gives the Giants a chance to run the ball.
Washington
Jordan Reed – OUT – Look for Vernon Davis and Niles Paul to take over at TE. Jamison Crowder seems to do well as Cousins favourite red zone target.
DeSean Jackson – Had a few days off in the week – will play.
Detroit
Eric Ebron – OUT – I looked at the backup TE’s for Detroit. Couldn’t tell you who they were so won’t bother!
Theo Riddick – OUT – Zach Zenner steps in but he is not nearly as good as Abdullah or Riddick who were rbs 1 and 2 at the start of the season
Tampa Bay
Doug Martin – OUT – Set back from last week despite a bye. Doesn’t look promising. Next Man Up is Jacquizz Rodgers. A lot of love for him this week but I don’t think he is as big a lock as all the fantasy writers predict. Yes he hit 100 yards when asked to be the workhorse but it took him 30+ carries to do it.
Gerald McCoy – Questionable – D line stalwart may play but…..
Robert Ayers and Clinton McDonald – OUT – ….they won’t.
San Francisco
Carlos Hyde – OUT – Mike Davis will lead a committee of sorts with Shaun Draughn and Dujuan Harris backing up.
Torrey Smith – Questionable – Kap’s favourite target, should play. The Dream Team of Jeremy Kerley, Quinton Patton and Aaron Burbridge step in. Yay.
Pittsburgh
Ben Roethlisberger – OUT – Landry Jones is certainly not awful but he’s not big Ben. Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown will be leaned on even more.
DeAngelo Williams – OUT – might not seem like a big deal but there aren’t that many back ups in the league that can play as well as the starter. If Bell goes down or suspended again, alarm bells start ringing for the city of Pittsburgh
Arizona
Carson Palmer – Questionable – Coach Arians says he is ‘fine’ and ready to play. ‘Fine’ is worrying to me, if you have someone else in your fantasy team then start them.
John Brown – Doubtful – Michael Floyd should get a bigger share after Larry the Legend.
Seattle
Kam Chancellor – Doutbtful – the enforcer is so important for the Seahawks. Don’t get me wrong the Legion of Boom is as good as they come but cracks show when Chancellor doesn’t play.
Houston
Seemingly their entire roster was on the injury point this week. All are playing apparently.
Future injury – Brock Osweiller – doesn’t look like some of the Denver defenders have forgotten about Brock’s sudden turn to go get paid somewhere else. Could get a bit of a kicking tomorrow.
