Thursday night is here, and we begin week 2, having ended week 1 just 5pts down thanks for a very productive Monday night football landing Eli Rogers anytime at 6/1, and the singles and double on points to make up for a frankly dismal Sunday night betting, which was always possibly on week 1
It will be hard to reproduce the excitement of week 1 with so many close matches and i’m already feeling the hangover as it’s tough to get excited for this match.
The Bills, in my opinion, are not a good football team, and having lost quite a few of their defensive players they now find themselves with a “pain managed” wide reciever in Sammy Watkins, who will go into the game after a tumultuous week of varied reports about his foot injury. Which started as a possible fracture and ended as ‘we’re just going to drug him up and send him out there for the season’ He won’t be fit, especially on a short week and frankly, he and Tyrod did next to nothing against (95yds passing in the match), maybe, an improved Ravens defence. The incredible ineptitude shown in that match would of hurt Rex Ryan and he’ll of spent the week trying to get his team up for this local rivalry, he’ll of been making the point that they won both against the Jets last season.
The Jets on the other hand should of won in week 1, but couldn’t make the breakthroughs in the red zone, scoring on just 2 of their 5 trips there, although their kicker missed a chip shot Field goal, and an extra point which ultimately cost him team the win. Their defence sacked Andy Dalton 7 times, and that was against a highly rated O-line, they could have Tyrod scrambling a heck of a lot tonight. Revis island isn’t what it was, he got torched for 180 yards by AJ Green, but he won’t be facing that kind of talent tonight, especially with Watkins not being 100%. On offence, they added Matt Forte in the off season, he went for 96yds rushing and a 59 in the air from 5 catches, however Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker who destroyed teams by themselves last year were strangely quite with only 5 receptions between them for 69 yards. The most catches were from Quincy Enunwa who I doubt many had heard of before the game. As they don’t really have a Tight end, they essentially played this beastly receiver in that position, and he did it well!
I can’t see anything other than a Jets win, and I think it may be quite comfortable.
