Andy Bs 3 Way – Week 2

Week two is already underway and as we approach the weekend I am looking at an interesting set of fixtures. Bengals Steelers, Skins Cowboys, Dolphins Patriots and the Colts Broncos in particular should be great games of Football.

Dallas @ Washington – Individual Touchdown Scorer

The history and rivalry between these two clubs is legendary. These games are typically very physical but also high scoring. The Cowboys came out of week 1 with a victory lost after Terrence Williams inability to get out of bounds. Washington gave up a lot of points week 1 to the Steelers and looked distinctly average in doing so giving up 300yds in the air 149 on the ground and 2 TDs to both DeAngelo Williams and Antonio Brown.

I expect Washington to lock Josh Norman up on Dez Bryant and focus on stopping the run this week. This leaves Jason Witten, Cole Beasley and Terrence Williams free to play. With Williams performance last week and subsequent twitter rants he has something to prove.

Bengals @ Steelers – Total Points

What to say about these teams, Cavey’s bias notwithstanding, the Steelers are a legitimate threat for a deep playoff push this year, the Bengals, not so much. Only AJ Green beating up Darrell Revis saved the Bengals from a loss to the Jets, having rushed for 56yds between 2 talented backs. Having said that, whilst not in the Saints league of lopsided teams, the Steelers have a much less talented Defense than their Offense. Giving up 329 yds to the Skins through the air should be cause for concern should their offense stutter throughout the season.

I expect both of these teams to score in this game with relative consistency to end in the high 20s low 30s.

Miami @ New England

Two years ago I made two bold statements regarding draft prospects, the first that Khalil Mack was far superior to Jadaveon Clowney, the second was that Jimmy Garapollo would become the next big thing in the NFL. In his first start without Gronkowski, Jimmy began his journey.

Gronkowski still has a bad hamstring and has been training away from the full squad, he is expected to be a game time decision. As any fantasy players will attest to, game time decisions rarely put up huge numbers.

Miami showed the league their hand Week 1, hanging with the Seahawks where few thought they could. I believe these two teams are much closer than preseason might have suggested and this game should prove that coming down to a single score.
