So another frustrating Sunday with the bets, getting 2/3 on the tight end trixie, annoyingly every other TE I considered for it scored, Gates, McDonald etc, . but Virgil Green didn’t, although still returned a little profit on it.. The RaB went nowhere as the teams did well to shut each other down, however did mean the Jesse James yardage landed early on. The late night match could of swung either way, I went the opposite way. The Seahawks were awful. The Giants would of scored every quarter, but decided to go for it on 4th and goal and messed it up in the 1st quarter.
Anyway, up tonight is the Eagles v the Bears, in Soldier field. The Eagles did well last week although it’s hard to figure out how good Carson Wentz did as they did play the Browns. Jordan Matthews looked good, as did Zach Ertz, but he’s now out for a number of weeks, Brent Celek will be in at TE, Nelson Agholar is always about as well and pops up with the odd touchdown but it’s hard to predict when. Ryan Matthews is a decent enough RB, but in fairness no-one on either of these teams does anything regularly that makes me want to care about them. Wentz did, however, look poised, and calm, so he should do ok again, against an average Bears defence. – The Eagles defence is a well drilled unit and it would be no shock to see them creating turnovers, and even get themselves a TD (I could do with 4 or so to get me the 35pts I need on fantasy this week)
The Bears put up some decent numbers last week, Alshon Jeffrey made a big play down the sideline for most of his yards, and Jeremy Langford opened his account for the season fairly early on. Eddie Royle notched up a TD as well. Zach Miller is quite well thought of at TE and again, should perform pretty well
I think I’m sticking to the Tribet – Any other result here, gives a 5 point swing either way in the result low stakes at 9/4 – 2pt
I like the Eagles to score a couple of TDs, the odds are crap on it, but 4/9 on that, 4pts.
Personally I’ll be having a tiny bit on Wendel Smallwood anytime at 18/1, there’s little chance he’ll even get on the field, but those odds have tempted me in.
Jordan Matthews and Jeremy Langford to score TDs – 11/2 – 2pts
- Tribet – any other result – 9/4 – 2pts
- Eagles to score o1.5 tds – 4/9 – 4pts
- Matthews and Langford TDs – 11/2 – 2pts
