So finally made some profit yesterday thanks to the miss pricing on Hunter Henry who scored early on in the chargers game to get us a 35 pts profit at 7/1 where he was priced at 6/4 everywhere else! As I’ve said before on here I won’t win every week. Especially with the league being as unpredictable as it has been so far this season. But I will try and find value in markets where I can!
Tonight is a really tough match to pick anything in as the Giants visit the Vikings in Minnesota. The giants have been impressive on defence so far this season after a poor year or two in that area, they spent big in free agency and it seems to be paying dividends as they start the season 2-1, their only defeat coming at the hands of the Redskins last week. All their matches so far have been decided by 3 points or less. Which given their triple threats at WR seems ridiculous. Beckham, Shepard and the returning Victor Cruz should be enough to allow them to comfortably win most matches but Eli has struggled at QB so far and threw 2 ints to lose the match last week. They really should of won it. At running back they suffered a few injuries but none of them really stood out anyway. Rashard Jennings was the number one to start the season and has done ok, but picked up a knock last week and misses this week, Shane Vereen is out for the season now. So that leaves Orleans Darkwa as the starting RB, his backup/change of pace back looks likely to be Bobby Rainey (Yeah I’d never heard of him before either) or the rookie Paul Perkins. This should bode well for one of them to score or at least have the chance to score. And there’s good prices around for them (4/1 anytime for Darkwa at Betvictor and a massive 12/1 again at WillHIll for Rainey. This morning anyway. Seems they’ve noticed and gone 4s for Rainey. He’s still 7s at Betway though. They’re priced far tighter elsewhere) Now they are tempting at those prices. Especially after Elis passing last week. But they are against a vicious Vikings defence who have held the Packers and the Panthers so far this season. So tread carefully! Personally I got a couple of pts on Rainey at 12/1 earlier this morning and posted that price on twitter so I hope some people got on.
The vikings have been hammered themselves with injuries but have somehow got through losing their Qb and RB to win their first 3 matches and top their division. A win tonight will give them a 1.5 game lead at the top. McKinnon looks set to be the starter again with Matt Assiata probably a 1b next to him. Stefan Diggs has started on fire with Sam Bradford chucking the ball to him. With a decent match Diggs will retake the lead in the receiving charts. Rudolph the red zone reindeer will get his targets in the red zone. But they’ll do well to put up big numbers against a solid giants D. The vikings defence sacked Cam Newton 8 times last week. And while Eli Manning is more elusive. I think total sacks o5.5 looks fairly decent, I think the Giants could rack up a couple themselves
I’m gonna have to take the Tribet – other result option again at 19/10
Special team/Defensive TD at 7/4.
O5.5 sacks – 13/10
I’ll be honest I’m not entirely confident on anything tonight. So going to stick with just a single point per bet.
As said I have had a little shot at Rainey at 12/1. (Also had a tiny shot at Him or Darkwa first TD at 25s and 50) I’d consider it at 7s but I can’t recommend it as there’s a chance he won’t get a touch at all!
Good luck anything you go for.
